About Mary

Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2004, Mary Roy supports clients in navigating change. Her goal is to help you gain a deeper understanding of your situation, yourself and the patterns in relationships, which keep you from living your life to its fullest potential.

Providing individual and family therapy, parent coaching and co-parent counseling in person in West Marin or via secure video sessions throughout California, she brings a keen interest and deep respect to the art and science of psychotherapy.

Mary opened her private practice in 2004 and has also held both clinical and leadership roles in mental health programs in Northern California. She has also worked as a consultant, implementing effective treatment programs for adults, children, teens and families.

Approach

Mary’s approach to therapy is informed by psychodynamic and family systems theory. She draws on her understanding of human development and training in a variety of evidence-based practices in supporting those she works with.
